Nan Devon, your light may have dimmed, but the warmth you radiated lingers in the memories of fish and chip Fridays, trinket-filled corners, and Christmases bathed in laughter. You opened the door to a tapestry of cousins and uncles, weaving a family fabric richer for your threads. Even the downstairs loo's shocking pink couldn't eclipse the sparkle in your eyes, or the boundless love you nurtured in your garden. I wish you could have met my American brood - they'd have reveled in your legendary buttered toast. While distance kept us apart, my memories remain strong, carrying echoes of your infectious laughter and accent (me lover) You'll be missed, Nan, but forever cherished. Rest in peace
